See the link and watch the video. Out of the box thinking at its best IMO:

Not so much a digital back as several digital fronts.....

Could be a local connectivity issue.... It's just a YouTube video...

    Simple enough concept
Looks like they broke embargo early. The concept is simple enough.... Similar to M43 accept when you buy a lens, you buy a complete lens/sensor assembly.

The people who criticize Canon and Nikon for putting IS/VR in the lens rather than in the body will hate this. Now you have to buy a new sensor every time you buy a lens! In a way this means that the "camera" isn't really a camera at all, just a housing that provides memory and user interface for a camera.

I'll be interested to see what the reviewers think of this one, but I have my doubts that I'll want one.

while it is out of the box thinking..it is not very compelling to me. What problem does it solve? What does it allow us to do that we can't do before (something compelling)?

One thing I can imagine..a low light/iso, lens/sensor combo vs a high zoom combo. Still..sometimes you need both like shooting sports. dunnoeek7.gif

Either it floats your boat or it doesn't. I'm not sure myself but I appreciate they're at least thinking different.

It is a great idea for when sensors cost as much as 1GB SD cars cost today (I remember when those were well over 50 dollars and they are next to free now).

Then you can put together any combo you want, but when every lens needs a sensor with current prices that is A LOT if you need just a few lenses, especially when the base alone is 450 euros.
