On July 2 2005 our family took a little scenic trip by Fillmore & Western Railway Co.
We took a 3 hour day trip: 1 hour to get to Santa Paula, 1 hour to walk around this nice little mostly Spanish-populated town and 1 hour to get back.
Below are few pictures from that trip. All taken with 828, mostly full manual, touched up in PS CS2.

A nice series showing what must have been a very nice day. I didn't realize that CA still had any orchards left:cry.
Thanks for sharing,
Chris
A picture is but words to the eyes.
Comments are always welcome.

My pleasure! It was great to have all four of us together - lately it became a really rare occasion, we all are busy..
Thanks for looking!
Actually CS still has quite a lot of orchards:-)
It's funny - when I first came to US/CA in 1995 I only knew of CA as a Gold rush location of 1849 and as a location of Golden Gate and Silicon Valley:-)
It was quite a surprise for me that most of the CA is actually a heavily agricultural state. And I believe it remains such: as soon as you move away inland from few hi-tech centers located on the coast, you'll be lost in endless fields around Fresno, Modesto, etc.
Cheers!
Next time come in person:-)!
Cheers!
Thanks Nik!

That was what Marc (Muench) told me when we were shooting Yosemite sunrise from the tunnel..:-)
