If I had sent a link out to a customer and then down the road I edit the NiceName to the category will it break the link?

Hi Matt,

You just need to preserve the gallery ID and key after the gallery nicename and / and it won't break even if you move it to a different category or rename the gallery. Here's an example:
http://cmac.smugmug.com/SmugMug/Support-Heroes-painted-faces/2504559_f3ta9

2504559_f3ta9 is the gallery ID and key.

If you keep that, it'll be a perma link.

But if you shorten the link like this:
http://cmac.smugmug.com/SmugMug/Support-Heroes-painted-faces
it will break if you rename or re-assign the gallery.

It depends what link you sent out.

If you included the gallery ID, then you'll be OK. Otherwise, it depends...
