#1. Great perspective from on top of the rock! the only thing I would do is use the burn tool to darken up the tire and and front fo the bike where your flash overexposed that part just a bit. If you darken that part of the pic, the lighting will be the same throughout the pic and it will look better IMO.
#2. Great perspective again! I think the bike and rider look a little too small here though. Perhaps if you crop a bit off the top, left and bottom. That would make it look better to me.
#3. Pretty good pic, but your flash once again overexposed a tad. The burn tool could make this pic pop a bit more.
#4. Sorry, this pic is boring and the bike isn't properly exposed. Throw this one in the bin.
#5. Great shot here. Love the background. Unfortunately it's hazy. Some more post and this pic could be outstanding.
These are just my opinions and I didn't write the book and what looks good. I'm just answering your question. Thanks for the post.
I usually do not use a flash but, it was getting late and the sun was really backlighting bad. I will try toning down the flash highlights and post back. I sort of like them though.
For #5 what should I do? I agree about the hazyness. Darken it with the brightness slider? Add a graduated filter from the right side?
#2 I didn't want to crop too much becuase I like the height perspective. But the rider is a bit small in there. I will try it too.
#4 I just liked the crash shot. Not that it is very special.

...nah! Keep it! It is proof that it was only a single point Dab!
Zerodog...thanks for posting these. I think this post may have cost me $3,500! I have had my eye on a GasGas trials bike in the area and I may have to give the chap a call now!!
Love shot #1. Other than being slightly hot on the frame and tire, this one is a winner!

#5 was kinda hard to work with. I ended up opening it up as a RAW file and doing most touchup there. I blurred the background a bit to give some seperation as well. It's still not perfect but IMO it looks better now. I also did s small crop on #2. I don't think it takes away the perspective and it frames it better. IMO anyway.
Erbeman, I like the added blur but to me the tone tweak is a bit warm. I will try some stuff tonight on it. I like the crop on #2 a lot though. Keeps the perspective and just gets a bit closer.

Did some editing. Put the new ones next to the old ones in the OP.
What do you think?
No, no BLM raids for us. It was smooth sailing. We haven't had problems at all. All of the events have permits and some of the areas have permits for years to come.

Nice shots here. I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said. I would like to add my thanks for posting--we don't see enough Trails.
