The cheapest reflectors that work fairly well in photography are reflective automotive sun shades. I have several of the silver types and they are both cheap and effective.

The folding cardboard type can be spray painted to gold tones or white if desired. (Many of those say "emergency" stuff on one side and some colorful scene on the other side, so spray painting them is normal in order to repurpose them.)

If you want the pro-style, spring-loaded reflectors, and aren't going to be visiting Wichita, KS, any time soon, I'd start by looking at Adorama. They aren't always the lowest price available, but they're usually close, and the convenience, service, and reliability are worth something.

One of many, many options they offer is this set of five for $34.95, which I think is comparable to what Art mentioned. That includes free shipping, too. http://www.adorama.com/FPPR5132.html
Once upon a time, they all lived happily ever after.

    I use this one:

It's cheaper and larger. I haven't had any quality issues with it, and I've opened it up and folded it down many times. They have lots of other reflectors and light modifiers on the site. I've ordered several things from them and they've always been a good value.
