I personally prefer the 2nd. IMHO, it takes it up a notch to a very good portrait and really brings out her eyes.

I like them both but I think I'm going to agree with Colleen on this one. Second Photo seems like more of a Professional Portrait to me. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely #2. You don't lose the sense of the boy being lost in the leaves but you gain a more dramatic portrait of the subject.

    Very nice!

I like #1. It is a pic of a beautiful child IN the autumn leaves. #2 is better as a portrait, but not the same feel of being in the leaves for me.

2 for me! I don't feel that seeing her shoes in 1 add much. The leaves feel deeper in 2 because I can't see her shoes poking out, and my eyes go right to her eyes. thumb.gif

PS - I might clone out that tiny bit of blue in the bottom right hand corner.

    Thanks Elaine & rainbow.

Elaine: I was actually thinking about that since I had the same feeling that it detracted from the "depth" of the leaves.

As if it needed saying again, #2. It focuses you on the subject, with just enough of the setting to get the idea without overwhelming the person. Nice color, nice light.

#2. Because it's about the face and the leaves. I think wanting to include the shoes is a bit too picky JMHO

They are both very nice pictures. I agreed with most of the comments here. #2 is slightly better, more "portrait" feel, and does leave some of the imagination in tact. However, as a parent, I like #1. I like the shoes, I like seeing how she was "sitting" in the leaves and not just her pretty eyes and smile.

    Just my two pennies.

    Oh, thanks for sharing.

I always love it when you post pictures of your kids. They are so precious.

Gotta vote for the second one as well. Really shows off her eyes and precious face. Very nice capture!

Very Cute I like #2 crop. #1 is great but your eyes are taken by the leaves, #2 really brings out more in the girl

Yeah, Warner Robins. We've been here since '95 and it has been ok. It's a blessing to not have any worries or concerns but there is not much to say for the town. If we want some action or something, we have to take a trip. Case-in-point; I had two young children to photograph this past Saturday and I wanted a scene like the one in these shots you've shared. Can I find that here???? NO! Laughing.gif

    All-in-all, it's been good though.
