Nice looking couple!
Question, though. Do you want the high contrast on her face? He is very evenly lit, and she has a very high lighting ratio on her face -- he's probably blocking too much of the fill, perhaps? I'm not good enough at this stuff to know what needs to be done differently.

good insight, and no, I didn't mean for it to be that way. this one was actually better than some others I shot. I puller her forward to get her out of his shadow, but the difference in the lighting between the two is a little distracting now that I see it.
there is the follow up question: the lighting is two umbrellas at more or less 45 degrees left and right.
Where would you place two umbrellas in a couple shot?
Did you try having one just slightly to camera right (instead of 45) stopped down as fill to lighten the shadow? Honestly, I don't exactly know, but would be interested in one of the pro's chiming in....
sounds silly, but her hand placement is bugging me. (I have one of my 'go to' photogs chirping in the back of my mind: "don't intertwine the fingers!")
Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add!
