Tai O
Tai O is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong.

Since the area is divided into two parts which are linked together by a river, the local people come and go by boat. And people in Tai O live in houses called 'pangwu', the 'bamboo houses' or 'stilt houses', which is very special.

Chi Lin Nunnery & Nam Lian Garden
Chi Lin Nunnery is a large Buddhist temple complex located in Diamond Hill, Kowloon, Hong Kong.



The Chi Lin Nunnery was founded in 1934 but was rebuilt in 1990 following the style of Tang Dynasty traditional Chinese architecture.

The Garden is built in the classical style of the Tang Dynasty (618 AD to 907 AD), on the blue print of Jiangshouju, the only Tang landscape garden the original layout of which can still be placed and traced today.
