Just returned from two weeks in Thailand. This was taken on the beach of Maya Bay, part of the Phi Phi Islands off Phuket. You may recognize it as the area where "The Beach" was filmed. It was absolutely breathtaking. Thanks for looking!

I am more of a mountain man than a beach bum but that water looks gorgeous! Look forward to seeing some more shots from an amazing looking region.

Thank you all very much. I had envisioned a shot with landscape orientation but the biggest challenge was keeping all the tourists and boats out of the photo! Luckily it was still sort of the off-season, but very touristy. Nonetheless, the water and limestone cliffs were absolutely breathtaking.

Great shot Chris. The UWA perspective gives the pic a lot of tension. It's almost as if the bow of the boat is going to hit me.

Thank you. I used the Canon 14mm f/2.8 which I don't hear much about, but I love that lens!

Kudos on the composition, I particularly like the way the prow and the ridge/cliff behind it both lead your eye right "on board" as it were!
