New outdoor experience

I have been hunting for over fifty years and thought I had seen about everything but while doing some scouting in a new area last week I saw the darnedest thing I have ever seen. I noticed something big and black slowly moving thorough the woods about a hundred yards away I first thought was bear but it was too tall. As it got closer because of its size the first thing that popped into my mind was how the heck did a cow elk get over this far.
Well it soon became clear that what I was seeing was a HUGE buck that had two antlers that stuck almost straight out around 16 -18". His neck was so swollen that it was next to impossible to tell where it ended and his jaw line began. This deer had to go well over 200 lbs if he was an ounce and in the shadows he was coal black.
When I left that morning I wasn't going to take my good camera but something told me to and man am I glad I did otherwise my friends would have never believed this story.

..Not all the bucks have 8 points or more.
The guys only like to have the big racks mounted.
Take Care,
