I actually like this in bw and I like the tilt. You'd think clowns should be in color, but with all that's around him..it looks better to my eye in bw.

I like the B&W as well - good conversion. The tilt bothers me, but that's a personal thing. He doesn't look all that happy, does he?

I agree that the shot looks best in B&W. The tilt, however, is too over-the-top for me and actually hurts my head a bit. I dig the shot but sure do wish it was straight. thumb.gif

I prefer the BW too but his outfit was so outrageously colorful against the other people on the street that I thought I should share...

tilt schmilt.... it's straight to my eye rolleyes1.gif

I think I got a shot of this guy on Hollywood Blvd too - can't go wrong on that street.

    Do not like the tilt.

Hard call on the color versus black and white. The colors of the sad clown's clothing really is part of who he is and the juxtaposition of brightness and gloom.

I'm going with the b&w anyway. I think I may be infected by the BD b&w bug.

The tilt. I don't love it, but I think it makes the picture here. It sends a topsy turvy world message that seems appropriate in context.

    Neat picture, Angelo!

I like the B&W, but the tilt is too extreme for me...

This had real potential, but the tilt ruins it. The problem is that there's no rationale for it - you didn't need to tilt the camera to get the shot; the tilt doesn't tell us anything. To be harsh, it's just a lazy gimmick. You had a really nice photographic possibility, and skill to capture it, and didn't need gimmicks. What you've ended up with, though, is an image that I have to tilt my head to look at, and I don't want to do that.ne_nau.gif
