Does anyone know of any photo clubs or photo walks in the Long Island area? Preferably in Nassau County. I really want to join one, but I can't seem to find one. I am thinking of maybe starting one, but even that I am not really sure how to go around it.
TIA

Keep me posted too please.
I'm in Queens, so not that far.

We have a large, diverse membership, from advanced shooters to beginners looking for advice. We get together several times a month to shoot at various locations around the island. The info on the Meetup page lists us as "Huntington Station" but that's only because our organizer lives there (she recently moved from Mineola, in Nassau County). We have members from all over Long Island, as well as a number from NYC. In just the past few months, we've shot at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, Belmont Park, the Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay, Old Bethpage Village, and Cold Spring Harbor. I've been a member for about 3 years, and we have a great group of folks, certainly worth checking it out.
For a more traditional camera club, I'm also a member of the Syosset Camera Club. We meet three Thursdays a month, with presentations, guest speakers, and a monthly photo competition. A group usually gets together Sunday mornings at a local diner, and goes out shooting after breakfast:

If Syosset isn't convenient for you, there are any number of camera clubs you can check out. The Photography Federation of Long Island has a list of member clubs, you should be able to find one in your area:

Thanks for the Info, I will check them out.
