Wow, talking about getting sand in your shorts, sleeping bag. . .and other places.

I love that first dune shot. What a great combination of curves and turns. Very nice. I love D-Valley. Going to be running around there in February (if we don't get drowned like last year).

It did rain on us one day....but not much. The winter seems like a great time to be there. I wish I had my climbing gear for the slot canyons. Was bummed about that, but got to see a few of the easier ones. Next time I'm there I want to backpack up some of those for several days...and some longer hikes through the desert would be nice.

Hey, you have the same tent as me!

The winter is an awesome time to be there, though some people are surprised how cold it gets. Beware of some wicked winds in the spring.

If you don't already have it and would like to do canyon explorations in the area your really, really want this book.

    Ken,

Got that book while I was there. Great stuff. And, yeah, love that tent, 'cept in the wind...not good unless I dig it into the snow a bit.
