Some more pics from the Zoo. A big thank you to Troy (Windoze) for giving me some pointers about shooting in zoos:clap
A lemur:
I wish I hadn't cut off his tail:
Play time:
Had to get the classic lion shot:
After looking at the cats we got to go into another area and watch them eat. What an amazing sight. They feed them pre-killed white rabbits.
Thanks, comments always appreciated,
Eric

Well you folks had a great day by the looks of all these posts
Nice capture of the two lions running, usually at the Zoo in Melbourne they are just all sitting in the sun, then you might be lucky to see one walk the fence line boundary.
The Primates are my favourite too, a friend from work is going to go with me when I get back from America, she likes photography too, and is trying to learn all she can about her gear before she heads off to India in December.
Thanks again for sharing your day at the Zoo....... Skippy (Australia)

It was about ten minutes til feeding time and the lions and tigers knew it. The female lion would go over to the door into their feeding area and grab ahold of it and start clanking it around. This would make the male mad so he would chase her off and then stand right by the gate waiting to get in. This went on until the zoo keeper came and opened up the gates.
After they ate they got let back in their yards and all layed down and took a nap.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
It was so much fun going to the zoo. So many pic opps. I just wish it wasn't 5 hours away.
