Poo

I'm not really a wildlife photographer but while coming off a shoot from Deadhorse Point in Utah I caught a glimpse of a furry animal scurry down the road. My wife thought is was a dog. As I drove down the road, the cub was running along side us about 20ft of the road, then he scampered up a small tree trying to hide within the branches. I got a few shots of him in the tree, but the branches covered to much, so I turned the car off and waiting about 10 minutes for him to come down. When he came down, I quietly got out of the car and slowly walked toward him (his mother was nowhere in sight and my wife was keeping a look out.) The cub just froze in place at the base of the tree trying to pretend he couldn't be seen. Later we talked to the park ranger who said that his name is Poo and he's all alone...we were lucky to see him. I wish the branch wasn't there in this photo.

Then, a few minutes later this coyote was running away in the field. When I stopped the car and whistled, he quickly stopped and looked over for about 2 seconds, then ran off.

So now, maybe I am a wildlife photographer :D

Ahh, so that's what a live coyote looks like. I never found the one that hit my car at 40mph and caused $4500 in damage. eek7.gif
