My main concentration has been sports action and portrait type shots of my own children.
The effects of lighting fascinates me and I have been lurking here and in the Wedding forum learning what I can.
A neighbor asked me to take some headshot type photos of her daughter. The session was impromptu and these are my favorites. I would like some C&C to help me learn what I can do better. If there is anything I did right, that would be nice to hear as well. lol.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Alicia

    1) It looks like focus locked on her arms instead of her eyes and the harsh light from the right side is distracting.

    2) I like the focus on this shot a lot more but, it seems a bit dark.

3)Great Photo my fav in the set.

    4) Very nice shot as well. I think I would crop a bit off the right side.

The first photo was not clear enough for a pro shot. Maybe you need to work on these two things:
    1) Focus
    2. Golden Ratio (fixed on the eyes or the smile)
