Fenton's Creamery (founded 1894) in Oakland is featured in Up, which was released this month on DVD. It is a destination for the producer's/director's families and the employees of Pixar, so they decided to "brand" it in their movie rather than create a ficticious ice cream parlor.

    I really like #1--
From the crazy smile on the kid with a missing tooth (which just adds to the image) to the little guy who looks like he's saying "i'll have one of each". Really sweet catch.

#3 is the only one that doesn't do much--for me.

Definitely #1 - very nice...But it could have been number two if you'd been careful to show some ice cream in the display case, or maybe even #3 if they'd been running toward the turkey...rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Like your take on "...one of each". rolleyes1.gif Glad you enjoyed them.

#3 is the add-on to complete the story of the soccer kids waiting patiently (while admiring the choices) and finally charging in when told their table was ready.

    Thanks for looking and commenting.

#2 does show the ice cream. It is in the faint reflection in the glass AND in the metal strip at the top of the display case!

    Thanks for commenting.

I agree with B.D. about #1, but I would have liked it more if you got the camera down to your subjects' eye level.
    If not now, when?

Thanks. I did not give serious consideration to shooting angle at the time.

I'll join the crowd and say #1, the kids expression truly makes this shot.
