Ben, all I know is that you keep getting new equipment and are getting great shots with it.

But I have Canon lenses for my 20D Canon camera. I don't even understand your language most of the time when you are talking equipment.

Now, I do have a CANON 300 f4 IS lens. That is my major lens for birds, along with a 1.4 extender.

How does the Nikon compare to the Canon lens? And I thought you had much longer lenses????

What have you been using? Please interpret for me, from Nikonese to Canon speak.

    Good shot, though.

    Morning Ginger :D
    We have similar equipment

I have a D2Hs and the longest lens I have is 300. I am looking for an extender 1.4 or 1.7 not sure yet?

Before I was shooting a Panasonic FZ20 which had a single lens attached with a reach of 432mm and more if you wanted to use digital zoom.

I hope that helps, and thanks for stopping by thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I would go with the 1.4. I tried the 1.7 but it slowed the AF down too much for me.
