Spent the first two weeks of the month exploring Thailand and Malaysia- from the southern city of Kual Lampour, Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok and up north to Chaing Mai.
We started in Phuket, sailing through the Phi Phi Islands.
In Bangkok, we visited the Grand Palace:
And a boat trip down the Chao Praya River through the heart of the city:
Up north in Chiang Mai, the Asian elephants are plenty:
And Chiang Mai is famous for its temples as well:
Koh Samui, on the east coast, has a nice Muslim fishing village (Ha Thanon):
The Damnoen Saduak (Floating Market) outside Bangkok is touristy, but very unique:
The last couple of days we spent wandering the streets of Bangkok,
The electrical grid must be a nightmare:
And we toasted the sunset on the roof of Bangkok's highest building before the long flight home.
Thanks for looking!

I have no useful words, really. This is what travel photography should always be!
Photos that don't suck / 365 / Film & Lomography
Hi, you will have a great time I'm sure. Some small bits of advice... DSLRs and big lenses draw a lot of attention there. Be careful and get insurance on your equipment. Not that it is not safe, but better safe than sorry. Being mainly a landscape photographer, I took a lot of landscape lenses I did not use that much. My 24-70mm and 70-200mm were used 99% of the time. Have a backup plan. I took around 5000 photos in two weeks which meant I had to recycle my memory cards a few times. I use the UDMA Colorspace (Hyperdrive) with a 500GB internal drive to backup the memory cards and also carried a portable external drive for an additional backup. If you have a specific itinerary set, I can give you a few photography tips if you are traveling to the same places I did, just let me know.
