despite the impending winter weather it looks like I am going to be paddling and photographing through out the winter for a project with my friend. Burrr I'm going to need to upgrade my thermal protection. Any way here are a couple from a recent recon trip in Raccon Cove, which has to be paddled at high tide because at low tide the cove is nothing but mudflat, strong NW winds made crossing the cove a fun wet rough challenge, C&C welcome thanks for looking.

4. a small waterfall that at a higher tide is passable by boat

8. Drying out the gear... you can tell it was a good paddle from the salt crusted on the sunglasses:wink

for most of these I used a waterproof Olympus point and shoot... I'm not quite willing to risk my SLR balancing over the ocean having seen what salt water can do to marine grade electronics.:D Other than that, I got some good light and often use a circular polerizer.

Peter, I really enjoy your photos!! You have some beautiful places that you kayak in and I really like seeing them!
