I saw the first shot yesterday on its own and I thought very cool shot, it almost doesn't look real.
Great series--My favorite remains #1 because its in silhouette--

Great series, Randy. #2 is my favorite....got a little detail in the cow but the cowboy is still in silhouette. Creating that art must have kept a herd of sculptors busy for a long time.
Take care,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hey Tom,
Evidently it took 3 years to complete the project.
So far this is what I've found through research:
PIONEER PLAZA CATTLE DRIVE
"In Pioneer Plaza in downtown Dallas, the world's largest bronze sculpture of its kind depicts a cattle drive of 3 cowboys and 50 steers. Each piece was created by artist Robert Summers of Glen Rose, TX. The sculpture is on the site of the Shawnee Trail, which was a popular cattle drive trail in the 1850s." uncommondays.com
Yeah, I had posted the first one, then thought "what am I going to do with these others", so I added them later.
#1 is my favorite also. Thanks for the comments.
Curious: what about the first one would have led you to believe that it wasn't real? Or better said: that the cowboy & horse weren't alive...
That's just it, I did think it was real--but I remembered your cell phone shots--that's why I did't comment originally--because I did think it was real (for a moment) but didn't want to sound like a schmuck in case it wasn't.

Here is a historic link about the Shawnee Trail of which crossed near this site.
Thanks Mox
