I'm still kinda new here, so be nice :):

Here's a couple I'm considering for Curves.

Digital Film 1

Digital Film 2

Probably not the most original idea, but I've had this in the back of my mind for a while.

Let me know what you think.

Maybe no one knows what "film" is?

I like the concept. Of the two.... the second (because of the contrast) is my fave. If there were more distinct images on the roll it might add more of that "interest stuff". Don't know. Just throwing a suggestion out to ya'.

Since no one else has extended a welcome yet... I will

I like #1, but I seemed to be quite contrary this afternoon. Not agreeing with anyone on anything. I do like the contrast better in the second one, but I like the design better in the first one, and I think the idea of using film is great.

If we have to be nice since you are new, when can we stop being nice??

    Hi Amunsie,
I have to agree with Ginger in that I like the forms created in the first one better than the second. It's much simpler while conveying the same idea. As for the idea, it's not new but it is effective. I was thinking of using computer tapes on a mirror for a similar effect. Did I think this up all my myself, no. I saw a gallery where it was done very effectively. I think this idea works really well for the theme. Do you have any film that also contains pictures of curvy things in it?

    Welcome and a good idea,
    Chris

    Hi Munsie,
I think I've said welcome before, but hi again wave.gif

I like the composition of #1 and the contrast of #2. I think the idea is great for the challenge. Can you darken #1 a bit? Or maybe get the swirls running diagonally across the image. Good work here.thumb.gif

I think most of you guys hit my quandry as well - liked the contrast on #2 but the forms on #1. So, I tweaked the first photo a bit:

Feel free to suspend all kindness going forward if deemed necessary :D . I was just sucking up a bit.

    Blue Snapshots & Higgmeister:

Unfortunately, most of my old film has been cut by the labs. I have a few rolls that were left whole only by specific request - they are astrophotography. And unfortunately, not much shows up on the negative to add to this image. This roll was developed at the same time as lunar shots and they just neglected to cut this roll.

And thanks to everyone for the help. If v1.1 flies for you all, let me know.

    I Amunsie,
It still doesn't seem to pop like #2 does.
