Some shots from a High School Play.
Went a buddy to help him out shooting a high school play. Basically, the play consisted of dialogues in a small theater space. The place was lit only by gelled spot lights so lighting was tricky. I basically shot mostly at ISO 800 and aperture pretty much wide open to keep the noise down, and partial or center weighted metered off the face, throwing the background black. I used a little -EVF so the face retains the shadows. I just saw Star Trek again on DVD, so I'm thinking flares. And since the subjects are standing in the dark talking, I wasn't sure how else to approach it. So here are some of the shots.

Yes, this was the final dress rehersal, so my buddy and I were on stage and could move around. Otherwise, I would not be able to get those compositions.
