Watching the sunrise.

Here's a couple from the local peace pagoda from this morning.
The lions guarding the approach to the pagoda face east(ish) [Thanks Andrew] and therefore appear to watch the sunrise.

Hopefully, they are either facing East or watching the sunset. Else you are at a rare place indeed where the sunrise is to the west....:D

Its definitely sunrise so it must be East they're facing.
Guess I should have paid more attention in Geography class, good job I've got a satnav!
