Lets build a great big man entirely made of... snow.

Apparently it was a three hat day.

One of the best parts of having kids is taking photos of them.

Heather, that first shot is breathtaking - talk about "Mona Lisa" looks! Her eyes are just incredible. What did you do to the shot as far as pp (if anything) - it's very, very beautiful.

PS It's very weird sitting here quite a few degrees south and realising it's full winter up there already. Brrr!

Hmmm, I did some selective sharpening on her eyes, and some messy lipstick touchups, but that is about it. She isn't allowed makeup when she is away from the house yet.. and today there is no school so she had to do herself up. And she is still learning how to apply it.

We do have snow, but haven't had it for very long. We have only had it for about 2 weeks. But it feels like forever already. But time of year it is the darkness that kills me... I shot these at 2 pm and it was already starting to get a bit dark with the storm moving in. I think this was at 3.5 and ISO 1000 and 1/100th... pretty dark out.

Thanks Jeff... she does look like me a bit. But all the good parts of her dad combined with the good parts of me make her a gorgeous little lady.

Those eyes are mysterious, great shot. We just had a dusting this morning from what I hear, didn't make it past sunrise.

Wow, she really is a beauty! What I really loved about the shot in addition to the model, was the wonderful warm colors of her clothing (and how well they matched the tree!) all in such contrast to the idea of cold snow! Neat portrait!

Thanks everyone! I let her read everyone's comments and it made her day! She is beautiful, and I really, really thank you all for complimenting her. Perhaps we can avoid the typical Jr high insecurity when she gets there. iloveyou.gif
