Hi you'll,

Thinga have been busy so I'm beginning to catch up on my post work. These are some of the last shots from my D2h before it stopped metering and was sent off to Nikonland for some emergency surgery.

Spend some time with my grandson Conner and you would agree that his shot should be posted with wildlife. icon10.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Hopefully your grandson was paying attention when you sent in your Nikon and it made him realize that Canon would be a better choicerolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Do you have a back up body? Are you still loving that new lens?

Super Nice capturesthumb.gif ...The Ibis is beautiful! Color is exact!

And Connor...What a doll! But I bet he was as elusive as a heron when trying to shoot him!

How are things at the wetlands these days?? Any increased activity or still quiet?

THanks AJ. I'm guessing that I should get the D2h back in around two weeks. Fortunately I still have the D100 so I'm still shoooting.

Thanks Eric for the kind words. My grandson was paying close attention while I took his pic with my D100. He admired what a fine camera it was and was very happy that it wasn't a Canon. :D

I'm happy now that I held on to the D100 when I got the D2h.

    Hey Trish,

    Welcome back from your trip.

Connor is a pip. He had a great time at the house. He loved the pool and the juke box. If he wasn't in the water he was at the juke box watching the bubbles go around.

The wetlands are getting a bit more active now. You have the great egrets and the GBHs out. There are a pair of limpkins hanging out there now also. The snowys are coming back and I've also seen a little blue and a night heron hanging around. Unfortunately I haven't seen the eagle in around 6 weeks but the ospreys have been pretty regular.

Thanks Ian. I had the feather thing handled for that last shot but my daughter-in-law refused to put the egret costume I had for Connor on him. :cry

Thank you Gus. I don't use filters for my wildlife shots but once I get some cash up I hope to start using some.
