Site opens in new tab, then closes immediately

This has been reported to me recently, and I actually observed it on my wife's computer. On some computers, apparently, clicking on a link to my site opens in a new tab, the page renders, and closes immediately.
One person reported that rebooting fixed it. For my wife's machine, I updated the OS (which included a reboot) and then it worked.

I just had someone tell me it happened to them, with this link. It is a password protected gallery, but the tab would close right away.

it's working perfectly for me, in FF3.5 Mac and and IE8 on Win7. Can you tell if this happens in a certain browser combination?

Thanks for testing, Andy. I haven't been able to narrow it down to a specific browser/os, but I will keep tabs on it. So far, it has happened on Safari and on "a Dell" (I'll ask about the browser).
