Disneyland, Paris

I live relatively close to Disneyland, Paris, but I had never been there before. We had some time off, and decided to go for a few days. We drove down there on a rainy Sunday morning, and a little over 4 hours we were there! The weather wasn't great, cloudy and rainy, but it was fun nevertheless! Unfortunately we had to leave a little early due to illness of my girlfriend, but other than that it was fun!

I took my 5D mark II, the 24-105 and 50 1.4. The night shots were all shot hand-held with the 50 1.4 and shot at either 3200 or 6400 ISO.

We started out getting a cool room number:

We unpacked a bit and got ready to leave. It starts to get dark quite early around here this time of the year.

They had some cool rides and things, and some were very pretty to just look at, also.

The park is in 'Christmas mode' now, also.
Not sure if it's part of it, but the castle had a lot of lights!

Both the cats were in (adjacent) different windows, but it looked like they were eying each other:

There were actually two parks, Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios.
Of course, these two would be there:

They had a pretty neat show on special effects and car-chases:

I LOVE Fantasia; This broom seemed to be used as an ashtray though :rolleyes :

Children could get a little book in which they could collect all the characters' signatures.
What I thought was absolutely hilarious, is that most characters couldn't really see very well in their suits, and they had to put the book in weird positions to be able to sign it :lol3

You could drive 'real' cars there; You could steer left and right a little bit, as long as you stayed close to the track:

We did get some dark skies every now and then:

Hope you enjoyed them. C&C appreciated!

These are absolutely brilliant. Me and my parents used to visit France every year (although haven't done for quite a while due to work and school requirements) and I visited both parks frequently as a young child. I'd love to go back and view the whole trip from a photographic stance. This has inspired me to go back :D Maybe I'll take a few days off next summer and go visit...

    Very nice.

If the Cinderella's Castle in Paris is the same as in the US, it is lit up like that for the Holidays.

Great pictures. Also I can say from going quite often both for work and pleasure, the rainy/cloudy days are the most fun to go as the park is less crowded.

Also with how expensive it is, when I lived in Orlando, the wife and I got season passes for the price of three days in the park. That gave us free parking and a few other perks. But the big thing was that it was much more affordable to go quite often. Might be something to consider.

Again, I'm so sorry to hear about Sascha but the first part of your trip looks like so much fun. I can't stop laughing about the Goofy signing the book photo rolleyes1.gif

The weather looks very much like what one would expect in the Orlando location, too, with the clouds. Great stuff and glad this part of your trip was so fun!

    thank you :curtsey

It's different with kids pulling you every direction I'm sure, since you may not have the time to 'shoot for shooting', but if you do go back make sure to take your SLR, there is plenty to shoot!

Thanks! We got a good deal actually, it wasn't very expensive. I don't plan on going back there often, maybe once every few years? There are so many places I still want to visit :D We were there on a Sunday-Tuesday, no season/holidays, with a bit of rain/clouds and I do have to say, it wasn't as busy as I thought it was going to be! We rarely had to wait in line, and if we did it was 15 minutes, tops.
