I shot this w/o flash just using the available light from a lamp. I welcome your feedback

    • thumb.gif framing OK
    • thumb.gif position of the subject vs BG is OK
    • rolleyes1.gif pose is blah
    • :cry facial expression is no go
    • :cry duotone treatment is bland
    • :cry lighting is bad. They didn't invent flash for nothing. Shooting people in such conditions is a recipe for disaster - unless you are very skilled in these things.
    • thumb.gif keep shooting!

I like the lighting...not the treatment or pose though, of course with different treatment i don't know how the lighting would look...i think would be better as a BW

I agree with Nikolai for the most part. The framing is good, but the "choke yourself" pose isn't what anyone is looking for. It looks as though she was completely unprepared for the shot, and this did not flatter her.
