The first image was taken from the middle of the Granville Street Bridge looking toward the Burrard Street bridge and the next two from the water front on Granville Island.
Oh My, those turned out Beautiful, really have a great feel to them, almost
"painterly" don't know if that's a word or not, regardless,
very nicely done.

Really good work here, Jack. Nice scene selection and really good PP. I don't know anybody that shoots cities better than you.
Take care,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

My gosh what a very nice thing to say. The encouragement I've gotten from folks like you on this forum means a great deal to me and helps me to want to continue learning and improving my photography.
Well done, Jack! I agree with Tom's comment about shooting cities--you do have a way with them and you've given us some great views. I absolutely love that first shot! I stared it and stared it and then wished I had it on my wall. It deserves a big print, that one does! I think I get a very short stay in Vancouver next year on a cruise--but now I'm thinking I should stay over for a few days. Looks like a beautiful place.

Big-looking shots, Jack. They have a sense of scale. Your processing makes me think of 1950s postcards, nostalgic. The second is slightly affected by geometric distortion, which you might be able to fix in PS, or DxO. It would be worth it.

Thanks for looking in and leaving a nice comment Neil. I noticed the distortion when I was working it up but since it was limited to the second bldg. from the left, I didn't think I could fix it without messing up the outer buildings. Your post caused me to give it a go and it worked out well I think. Thanks

Thanks so much rae. Vancouver is my favorite North American city. I'm a country guy but if I had to live in a city it would definitely be Vancouver.
