My timing with the weather and sunlight were off today, so I stopped at this great place on the way up to Payson, AZ.

I might be headed that way again soon, so I plan to stop again and take more detailed shots.

Thank you for looking! All comments appreciated!

    Very cool!
Some of those bikes don't even look like they are in bad shape! What a waste.

    I can't believe the amount of bikes in there--you sure you didn't clonemwink.gif .

I actually like #2 the most, it just gives a good sense of the sheer amount of bikes. "Find the needle in the bike graveyard" sort of shot.clap.gif

Cool place. It looks like there's a little bit of everything in there. Motorcycle, bikes, bikes with motors, etc. Really cool shots and compositions. So much to look at!!

I also like in the back of #1 the one bike that looks to be "climbing to the top" or "growing" out of the pile of others. Nice work!!

Wow...I would love to spend a day taking photos in a place like this. We don't have anywhere like that here. Our old used and beat up bikes are picked up, fixed up and given to those that need a bike.

My fav is #3 -- as your looking in its lookin' right back at ya :D

Cool shots! I really like #1 & #3, both of these give the eye a main subject to focus on. Love the processing thumb.gif

    #1 is my pick
Beautiful images... are they focus stacks? Excellent detail! I am looking for an old bike to fix up. Can you offer up the name of the place? Great find. Mark

Thank you, Eia! I finally made it back there. :D I played around with the images in LightRoom. I wish I'd had more time and better weather, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

Thank you, lizzard_nyc! I included the second shot for scale, but in reality that shows about 1/4th of the bikes and motorcycles there! It is a semi-famous place in the motorcycle world.

That is just too Cool, what a great find, and then to capture it like you have

    puts it over the Top.

We use to stop there all the time going to or from Payson. I wondered how they felt about photos- now I will be sure to stop or even make a special trip up there. deal.gif

    Wow! Great photos!

I like that silver-gray motorbike in your first image. I wonder what kind it is. Very unique and it looks restorable.
