In Coeur d' Alene, Idaho every year they have the Festival of Lights. It is hosted by the Coeur d' Alene Resort and is a spectacle to behold. It is a very well attended event. This year we got there nice and early for a good place to view the fireworks and the lights. This year, the weather was amazing and a beautiful clear sky. If you are ever in the area at this time of year, it is an event that you will want to see over and over. It is a family tradition for us. I hope you get a bit of the feel from these pictures.

Great shots! Thanks for the memories, we lived there for 4 years, loved the parades, shoping downtown and late night hot chocalates at the snack bar in the resort by the big fireplace. I never took the float plane ride but spent lots of time on the lake cruise boats. Have you hiked Tubbs Hill? Higgons Point? We want to go back for a nice visit..
    Have a great day!

Thanks Ront, I enjoyed your photos on your site, we have visited a lot of the same places too. Was a beautiful place to live. The winters were toooo long and all our family was too far away.
    Have a great day!

Thanks for the comments all. I do appreciate them all!!

Orv, you are sure correct about the winters!! I am really hoping not to have a repeat of the last 2 years. They were way to long and way too much snow.
Tubbs Hill is a great Hike. Beautiful scenery!!

    Thanks, Ron
