Plane Spotting at DC Reagan

I was out and about yesterday afternoon. It turned out that the controllers were using a runway that's less frequently used. It led to a few cool shots.

    Nice shots, Tom! I had the chance to shoot from Gravely Point a few years back, but it looks like you were closer to the terminal to get those angles, correct? It really is a great place to photograph aircraft!

    Thank you both. The first shot happens to be my favorite as well.

    Gravely point is a great place to watch planes. The problem is that it's right along the centerline of the runway. You get great pictures of the wheel wells. :D If you follow the bike path south from Gravely Point, you can get closer to the terminal, elevated up on a walking bridge, and get a nice angle to view the approaching aircraft and runway.
