Uploading pics to galleries...not at great printing resolution?

Justa a newbie question about uploading images to galleries for clients to proof and purchase.
-at what resolution/size/dpi should it be uploaded so that the images look great AND can't be swiped off the site to make prints BUT at a size that can be printed by bay photo.
does this make sense?
another question: when the customer adds prints to his cart then do I have to send bay photo a separate jpg or is it accessed from my gallery?
thanks for any advice!

Trust me though, that won't stop clients from trying to print off your site.
I had a client print an 8x10 using a facebook sized photo. Looked terrible.
The original sized image in your gallery is used for printing. If you set proof delay you can replace the image when the customer orders.
