bug in ordering categories, sub-cats and galleries

I have seen this bug mentioned and acknowledged for photo's within a gallery, but not for the categories and galleries themselves.
I order by position and arrange it the way I like. When a photo is uploaded, the order changes just like when ordering by most recent. The ordering by position is broken.
