The Moon, Some Clouds and a Cool BG

Drove over to San Luis NWR to see if I can capture some wildlife and hopefully a nice sunset. I got a few photos of a hawk feasting (photos later) and a Tule Elk bull but couldn't find a good place to set-up for sunset. I happened to turn around and saw the moon and had to capture this....

Nice! I saw the moon rising last night with an unbelievable dark blue sky behind it and a perfect mountain range underneath it. Pulled over, reached for my camera pack, and then remembered it was on my desk at home. I was quite the sad individual.

I really like the color you captured.

You captured some nice light there. I would run it through a noise reduction filter if you can. nicely done!

You're the second one to mention that and it does look noisy to me too. I thought it was my crappy monitor. I'll have to re-visit the original file. The 5D @ ISO 100 should be "perfect".
