DSLR and Lens Maintenance

Hello everyone,

I searched a bit and couldn't find specifics and was hoping someone could help a bit. I'm a bit new in the world of higher end DSLR's and high end glass and was wondering what everyone's habits and best practices are regarding regular maintenance and cleaning. (Mods: Maybe this could be a sticky at some point once all pertinant info is gathered?)

Any tips, tricks, suggestions and helpful hints are greatly appreciated. I want my investment to last as long as possible and wna to make the a checklist of weekly, monthly, post-dusty shoot cleaning, etc practices so I am sure my equipment is in top form at all times.

I clean my own sensors.......COPPER HILL KIT......can't go wrong and it normally takes about 15 minutes......

For lenses.....I clean them my self......but every 3-5 yrs I have a place I send for a CLA in HESSTON KS....PHO TECH ......the owner Bernie is one heck of a nice guy and they are a NIKON WARRANTY SERVICE CENTER......but he works on my SIGMA lenses also with a complaint.............
