I picked up an SB-600 for my D40 this week, so I've been trying to learn the ropes. I don't have any subjects really other than the fiance (who never likes how she looks in photos, so I'm not allowed to put them online) and the dogs. Since the dogs can't voice their opinion, the photos get shared whether or not they approve .

#5 - Ballerina Boxer
#6 - Tired and Happy
I've been trying to get decent shots of the black schnauzer (i.e. shots where he doesn't just look like a furry black ball), but it's tough! He's ridiculously fast and energetic, which doesn't help. Feel free to give input, particularly on the color and exposure. I'm really getting frustrated using my laptop, because I don't think my screen is accurate at all. I compared JPG files on the camera screen and the laptop screen last night and what looked great on the camera looked dull and flat on the computer.
Thanks for looking
