Altho I get it, i don't think the sewing aspect is obvious enough to connect with your title for most people.

I like the sepia treatment.

I like the photo Linda but it doesn't seem strong on the theme to me. Just my opinion.

I've got to agree with Chris & Dave. I've come back to this image a couple of times but even though I know from the title what she's doing it really doesn't come across.
