The "Ouch" end!

Hello,

Was stung by a centiped, while cleaning my workshop. Pain similar to a bee sting.

Centiped is recently deceased.

Yes, and it was only about 3 inches long. I see some large blue ones that are 6-8".

Those fangs inject venom, I used meat tenderizer (the powder, not the mallet:D ) to reduce the pain and swelling, works on bee stings.

It dehydrated very quickly, by the time I finished the first aid and returned with my camera the antnnaes had dried out.

Thank you for the comment.

I see them almost daily, you learn to be careful, check for them and scorpions when moving things. I was talking to my wife and not paying attention.

I will try to capture one of the larger ones for a photo.

Here is another creature I found during the clean-up, my wife took the photo, but she would not get close enough for a macro.
