Sneaking up on a Blue Heron

Normally I have to stick to the trail at my favorite site because it is wetlands but it have been below freezing for the last few days. The frozen ground allowed me to get close to the heron. I started out with my 200mm 2.8 with a 1.4x teleconverter then got so close I have to take the teleconverter off.
