How do I get rid of image details? Help!

I gave my camera to a friend of mine. Don't know what buttons he pressed, but now when I take a picture, the image that appears on the display contains image details like ISO, White Bal, Size, Quality etc. The problem is that all this data blocks out most of the picture so I really can't tell if the photo came out good or not. Camera's a Nikon D40x

How do I turn these pic details off? :scratch

TIA

Use the up/down arrows on the 4-way pad until they go away. I think it's 3 screens of info, the flashing highlights, and a histogram to scroll through IIRC.
