E-mailing photos to Gallery not working

Hello,

The e-mail uploader is driving me crazy!

1. It seems not to accept photos sent directly from iPhoto. But there's no indication there's a problem-- the photo just doesn't appear.

2. Captions with punctuation often get garbled (apostrophes seem to turn into #s), or disappear completely (exclamation marks often cause this problem.)

Here's my gallery (the photos of question marks are part of the site I'm creating, not indications that Smug Mug didn't get the picture. That just happens without waring!)

I'm using Snow Leopard, Apple Mail, Safari, and iPhoto-- pretty plain vanilla.

Please let me know how to fix this-- I need the service to work reliably.
