Well - we didn't get as much snow as we thought [in the deserts], from that storm that swept the state - -but - - there is a slight dusting on some of the mountains. The winds sure gave us clear skies and cool, fresh air! Any C&C appreciated...

    HI EIA..........That storm was a blow....the wind was over 60 mph .......

I like the second one the best. I think that the last one would have been a stronger composition if the cactus wouldn't have been so in the center. azzaro

Thanks for the comment Azzaro. Yea, cactus too centered and i knew that...but the lighting was too good. Either side left out the back mountain. That storm was really something. I can imagine it whipped right thru where you are with nothing to stop it.

Love that second shot, Eia. There so much drama in it. nod.gif

It looks like you took those near Saguaro National Monument? I wish we had more Saguaros closer to where I live.

the shadow patterns look nice too... maybe add a little contrast (masking your subjects) to them?

Hi Kdog - thanks for the comment. This was not too far from us; toward Horseshoe lake. I had lots of drama the past few days - waiting to see if my hubby was one of the 30 missing in the storm - but he came back just fine!

I like #3. Nice soft light hitting the cactus & separating the subject. Cloud shadows pretty strong in #2

I guess you could label #3 as a desert bird... :D

The second is my pick. Howerver, they're all great shots. It's not very often one has great clouds and sky in addition to good lighting. Great job!
