Indoor track -RITCA Injury fund meet

Here are a few shots from last night RITCA high school girls injury fund meet. The meet was held in a brand new, purpose built, indoor track and while the facility is lovely for the athletes and spectators it was awful to shoot. This was the first meet held in the facility and I had to shoot at ISO3200 @f/2.8 and I could only get a shutter speed of 1/250th to 1/500th which is simple not fast enough for many elements of track and field. Still, here are a few of my favorite shots from last night.

1) hand held panned shot at 1/50th
2) the Mt Hope team pulling for a team mate
3) the unfortunate relay runner, got up, uninjured and finished her leg pretty quickly.

    I like the pan in the first and the fall in the third. Nicely done!
