Pano with a Pistol Grip Ball Head?

I just got a Manfrotto pistol grip ball head (322RC2) for my new Velbon CF tripod (mostly used for traveling). Only problem is that the ball head does not have a locking pano clamp. Is there a (not too expensive) way to add a pano device of some sort to this so that I can do the occasional panoramic shot? If so, what is it?

If you are shooting panoramas occassionally, I wouldn't worry about it.
Just keep the camera as level as possible during the shot, overlap each
frame by about 20% and stitch together using Panorama Factory or the
software that came with the camera.

    Thanks!
That's sort of what I was starting to think myself; the grip has that levelling bubble, so it should be relatively easy to do.

    My verdict
I like the pistol grip a LOT. I was debating replacing it with a non-ball head, to facilitate taking panos, but I just like it too much to want to part with it. It is very easy to use (I find), and not too heavy. Now if I could find a pano base for it, my life would be perfect!

While just searching for info on a pano base I came across this page that has an interesting pano shot, although I am still out of luck on a pano base.

    RSS Pano Base
I saw that base, but it won't work (I don't think) with my head/mount plate.
