Nice set. #1 is a bit dark for my taste #2 is AMAZING! Love the composition of #'s 3 & 5. # 4 does not do anything for me.

Very cool! Japan is such a complex and interesting country and you did well with your P&S. Looks like you were there just in time for some beautiful, classic autumn foliage thumb.gif

    Thanks all.

I agree that #4 is kinda blah i know.

#2 is my favorite for the whole trip. I mostly spent time with my brother and sister n law around in tokyo. But did get 2 days of site seeing in at Kyoto (sucky part was day 1 was all rain. Which is why Picture 1 isnt as nice as i would have liked.)

I have a few other pictures but nothing spectacular. I didn't get as many pictures as i would have liked ;(

Nice. Good that you got to go to Rokuon-Ji, had good weather, and got a good shot of it. My first apartment in Japan (Matsuyama city in Shikoku) was right next to a "scale model" of the Golden Pavilion for those that can't make it to Kyoto, but was old with peeling paint... definately not the same.

The sand garden is a bit trippy with the wide angle lens and curves... like it too.

I love kinkakuji (the other name for rokuonji) Been there twice :) Kyoto is by far one of my favorite places to go in Japan. Makes me want to go back again...
