I'd not seen these before, so I looked them up. They are Yellow wagtails visiting the UK for the summer from Africa. They feed on the dragonflies and bugs around the river and are superb hunters....entertaining to watch too

    Tourists, Gubbs, that is funny!

And I see a reflection, too. Pretty little things.

And here I thought I was going to see the Gubbs Clan, in Pitt Helmets and safari shorts standing next to a couple of Zulus in full dress :lol4

    Nice shots either way :D

Ben, there would have to be an elephant, giraffe, some wildlife, or at least flower in the photo: this is the nature forum.

I would love to see the Gubbs clan, as so described.

Hey Gubbs, I thought it was the other way round - they are summer visitors to Africa from Europe headscratch.gif

(I think the way birding people look at it is that they breed in Europe so they visit us naughty.gif)

Nice pics - I know how hard it is to catch them, as they dodge around so quickly thumb.gif

    regards

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice piccies and even better story. Imagine those tiny things flying all the way to Africa. Very impressive. I can't even fly off the sofa.
