Hi y'all,

Here are two of my favorites taken at the Avian Reconditioning Center in Apoka, FL.

With 5 pets in the house, I have numerous photo ops. These aren't the best shots technically, but here are some of my favorite images from 2009:

    1. Wicket (age 6 mos) simply was worn out after reading the paper!

    2. My favorite shot of our beloved Titch, who was killed by pit bull dogs early this year - RIP

    3. HDR tone-mapped shot of my brother's Gordon Setter, Piper

    My turn...
So I'm not sure if these fill the requirements, as they were not taken at a zoo and these are not my pets... I shot these on a tour that I did to Egypt...

Nice studio shots, Deb. I'd like to see a bit more detail in the black part of the dogs' coats, but I love the expressions you captured in their faces.

This is a beautiful shot, but it's not a budgie. It's a Conure, probably a Green-Cheeked Conure, but I can't be sure. Definitely not a budgerigar, though.

    Life on the farm
I'll play too - 1 dog, 2 cats and a horse - surely I can find a shot or two worthy of including?

This is Halo. She came from the local pet rescue centre - Paws and Whiskers - as a 2-year-old refugee. She's been with us 5 years now.

Hoover is now 18 months old - a very active miniature Australian Shepherd - and my constant companion (should have named him Velcro)

My horse Beau's (formally known as Crescendo - he's a Canadian x Hanoverian gelding) reaction to the impending invasion by participants in the annual Balloon Fiesta. On occasion they do land in the pasture.
