How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

So I'm not sure if these fill the requirements, as they were not taken at a zoo and these are not my pets... I shot these on a tour that I did to Egypt...

#1 So, nobody told you I'm the top cat on this dock?!
(Chippy patrolling the dock in Panama)
#2 And who let this Latin menace in anyway?
(Obi found her way aboard in Isla Margarita, Venezuela; this one is pre-2009, it's just here for the story line ;-)
#3 Very tired, need to sleep now...
(post 2009 but best shot I have because of a decent camera ;-)

Thanks Lauren
This is a beautiful shot, but it's not a budgie. It's a Conure, probably a Green-Cheeked Conure, but I can't be sure. Definitely not a budgerigar, though.
Thanks Lauren! Yep, their only worry these days is that crocodile in the marina ;-)

I'll play too - 1 dog, 2 cats and a horse - surely I can find a shot or two worthy of including?
This is Halo. She came from the local pet rescue centre - Paws and Whiskers - as a 2-year-old refugee. She's been with us 5 years now.
We've had Triscuit since she was 6 weeks old - Queen of the House
Hoover is now 18 months old - a very active miniature Australian Shepherd - and my constant companion (should have named him Velcro)
My horse Beau's (formally known as Crescendo - he's a Canadian x Hanoverian gelding) reaction to the impending invasion by participants in the annual Balloon Fiesta. On occasion they do land in the pasture.
