Breakthrough

Today was a cold and misty morning. It took until midday for the sun to break through the low cloud. I was out on a dog walk as usual and took this pano overlooking Langstone Harbour towards Hayling Island. I wanted to record the first breakthrough of sunlight.



The pano comprises 10 hand-held shots in portrait format. Olympus E3 + Sigma 50-500 at 50mm. All camera settings were manual.

Hi Peter, really great minimalist work here. I love the almost complete lack of color and the fact that you caught the birds right in front of the light beams.

Thank you Schmoo and Dan. I wanted to capture a mood and find that this is best portrayed without too much distracting detail. From your comments I guess I can put this down to a success:D.
